Dr. Cinta Ramblado is Head of Spanish at the University of Limerick, Ireland. Recipient of several research grants from Irish and Spanish governments, she currently devotes her research efforts to projects focusing on gender, memory and representation. The lecture will analyze the meaning and purpose of the feminization of politics and repression in the Francoist state, especially at times of instability, by offering a socio-historical overview of the different methods of repression.
