I am pleased to announce the publication of Dr. Patricia Hertel's (Universität Basel) book "The Crescent Remembered. Islam and Nationalism on the Iberian Peninsula" at Sussex Academic Press. The study deals with the memory of Islam in Spain and Portugal in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is the translation of a book first published in German in 2012.
